The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for supporting the HR Analytics team primarily through the creation of dashboards  and visualizations in Microsoft Power BI that deliver actionable insights. This exciting opportunity offers a wide-range of recurring  and ad-hoc opportunity to contribute and gain new expertise. All duties are to be performed in accordance with policies, practices,  and procedures.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Builds dashboards and visualizations in Microsoft Power BI; conducts user-acceptance testing and data validation

Extracts, compiles, and cleans HR data from Workday, SQL server, and various other sources

Actively seeks out new opportunities to optimize capabilities while considering down-stream impact and ensuring data integrity

Provides data analysis for a variety of needs to better inform decision-making; effectively communicates the narrative of the data, including trends and/or incongruities

Partners with business stakeholders to understand their requests and ensures a solution that meets their needs

Follows established service standards and procedures while ensuring that deadlines are met within time frames and quality expectations

Maintains a solid understanding of the Company’s goals and objectives

Strong aptitude for quickly troubleshooting and identifying the cause of questionable results within extracts and reports

Demonstrated business analyst experience; communicating effectively with business clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions

Analyzes issues independently, uses judgement to make decisions, and takes necessary action

KSAs

Expert working knowledge of Role Level Security (RLS) and Z Order in Microsoft Power BI

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with expert working knowledge of Excel

Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Ability to produce high quality work products, with consistency, accuracy, and completeness

Ability to work independently and manage projects from inception to completion

Ability to work in a high-stress, fast paced environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously while consistently exercising good judgment
