All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and company policies, practices, and procedures to ensure overall facility integrity. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Recognize required needs, repairs, adjustments, or replacement of upholstery components | Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on furniture and walls throughout the property, responsible for completion of all jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management and maintain logbooks | Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments in a timely manner such as but not limited to: restyle and reline old or worn out furniture, strip furniture of worn out fabric and padding, cut patterns of each style of furniture by measuring and fitting, sew all pieces together by hand or sewing machine, reapply padding, fit new lining to furniture and staple to woodwork, strip and install new layouts on all table games | Work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner | Keep informed and updated on current technical methods | Advise Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property | Understand the layout of the property, hotel rooms, and equipment | Maintain constant awareness of property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention, able to wear/use personal protective equipment (p.p.e.) |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | KSAs | General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division | Knowledgeable of all phases of upholstery repair and renewal, and pattern making | Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms | Ability to work under pressure | Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment | Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine | Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills | Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts | Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards |
