Their role includes promoting Shark Reef's conservation initiatives through a variety of educational programs, assisting management in developing new guest engagements, and the development of staff members. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Welcome all guests and engage the public through a variety of educational programs. Educating about the various species, habitats, and promotes Shark Reef's conservation mission, goals, and objectives, creating a positive guest experience for all. | Demonstrate full proficiency in exhibit interpretations, conduct VIP/private tours, all grade level school field trip tours, ambassador animals, and animal encounter programs. Assist with guest dive programs, including leading tours, tending dives, and aiding with setup/cleanup. | Maintains both public and animal safety by monitoring visitor behavior, correcting where necessary, advising supervisor and/or animal care of abnormal situations. | Assist in creating new educational guest engagement opportunities. | Attend programs related to promotional and educational initiatives as assigned including partner expos, and educational fairs, or school days. | Train new staff to ensure all educational information is correctly and consistently provided to guests, and in responding to guest questions and concerns. |
