It is the primary responsibility of the Public Relations Specialist I to manage media interactions that may include, but are not limited to, photo shoots, filming, event facilitation, interviews, etc. Specialist I's responsibilities include writing and distribution of press materials, proactive pitching of property amenities and more. At the Specialist I level, individuals should begin to learn about strategy development for media programs in support of the properties and their individual offerings. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices and procedures.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Independent evaluation of introductory media requests and recommendations

Independent management of basic filming, photo shoots and media interactions

Independent drafting of press releases and related documents

Provide property tours to media

Contribute meaningful content to brainstorming sessions and meetings

Manage basic assignments independently

Initial property meetings with supervisor

Introductory pitch development

Begin developing editing skills

Learn introductory requirements of executive interview process

Clip distribution to property partners

Must be able to travel from property to property as needed
