Job Profile Title: | Supv HR Shared Svcs | Job Code: | 10603-3 | Profile Title: | 10603-3 HRSS Tier 2 Supervisor - Benefits | Grade / Band: | 09 | FLSA Status: | Exempt | The HRSS Tier 2 (Benefits) Supervisor is a subject matter expert on all areas of benefits admnistration and is responsible for managing the day to day operation of the HRSS Tier 2 - Benefits team which is responsible for cases and transactions related, but not limited to: benefit eligibility, claims, benefit events, COBRA and annual enrollment. This role identifies employee trends and shares insight and behaviors to drive self-service and process improvement. This role will coach and develop team members, run and analyze reports, and provides support in the implementation of standardized policies and practices to deliver operational efficiencies and excellent customer service. This role works closely with the HRSS Director, HRSS Managers and the HR Center of Excellence business partners. This role processes cases and escalations within established quality measures and SLAs. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Supervise the day-to-day operations of the HRSS Tier 2 – Benefits Specialists and ensure appropriate work allocation among all team members. | Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws regarding employee benefits, Affordable Care Act, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA. | Collaborate with the HRSS Senior Manager to ensure that the HRSS Tier 2 Benefits team has the right number of people focused on the appropriate business need to ensure the team operates in the most responsive and efficient manner. | Create and maintain a work environment that promotes guest service, teamwork, performance feedback, individual recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfactions to ensure quality hiring, training, and succession planning that encompasses the company’s diversity commitment. | Responsible for the training of the HRSS Tier 2 – Benefits Specialists on company and department policies and procedures to meet compliance with MGM Resorts International Policies. | Identify and develop continuous improvement strategies in order to implement efficiencies and continue to streamline processes. | Ensure proper metrics and reporting are established to measure all HRSS benefits transactional activities and operational effectiveness. | Conduct scheduled and ad hoc quality assurance audits in order to improve employee experience. | Appropriately address human resources issues, such as attendance and interpersonal conflicts in the workplace. |
