As a Casino Accounting Supervise, you will be responsible for the audit functions in accordance with the System of Internal Control and Gaming Control Board regulations.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for performing audit functions in accordance with the System of Internal Control and Gaming Control Board regulations

Establish audit procedures and review audit documentation as needed

Responsible for maintaining source documents as required

Responsible for maintaining secured document storage

Review and prepare journals and reports as required

Report and investigate exceptions as required under the System of Internal Control

Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules needed to record transactions in the General Ledger

Prepare gaming tax/license returns and make proper payment of taxes and license fees

Responsible for the supervision and training of audit/accounting personnel

Responsible for the reconciliation of IRS Forms 1042S and W2G and for the related tax deposits

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

KSAs

Knowledge of general ledger coding and understanding of the theory of account codes

Understand concepts of general ledger and managerial reports

Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures

Familiar with gaming regulations and applicable IRS regulations

Able to lead and mentor a team

Ability to operate a 10-key

Ability to perform intermediate math

Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms

Able to lead and mentor a team

Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine

Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail

Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
