The Marketing Analyst produces reports, analyses, and dashboards, and completes multi-step strategic projects. The Marketing Analyst is able to interpret complex business problems, design, develop, and execute effective solutions, and interpret results in order to provide actionable information to marketing decision makers. The Marketing Analyst must be able to think strategically and drill down into technical details to solve technical and business problems and must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Identify requirements, create, validate, and distribute analyses to support strategic marketing initiatives | Create analytical content including reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses | Provide data that will be used to make strategic business decisions for company marketing initiatives | Interpret data to produce insights and make recommendations to marketing decision makers | Identify and analyze crossover trends between segments and properties | Translate business questions into defined analytics projects and ensure timely completion |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | KSAs | Ability to identify and resolve issues in a highly technical environment | Familiarity with marketing practices of casino resorts | Business and technical knowledge of casinos and player tracking systems | Strong understanding of database management and marketing systems | Periodic travel of 20% or more may be required as business needs dictate | Knowledge of Cognos8 BI software, relational databases, database theory, and querying tools | Experience with SQL or other database software | Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms | Ability to read and write proficiently to evaluate reports, correspondence and statistical information | Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment | Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine | Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail | Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts |
