It is the primary responsibility of the Asset Supervisor to supervise asset operations and ensure that assets meet company standards  for condition, handling/packing, transport and storage.

 


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Supervise Asset department to ensure that inventory is safely and properly inspected, maintained, pulled, packed and  loaded for transport, and restocked or tagged for repair

Oversee shipping, receiving and consumables inventory and database updating

Supervise daily work assignments for employees, ensuring that timelines established in pre-planning meetings are met and  desired results are achieved

Supervise assigned staff to include: hiring recommendations that encompass the company’s diversity commitment, training, coaching, performance feedback and counseling; approve administrative requests, including time-off

Schedule employees, monitor efficiency, quality of work, and timelines; order outside labor as needed

Communicate project status and timelines with internal departments, clients and vendors to maintain satisfaction

Participate in event production, installation/tear down and loading/unloading of vehicles as needed

Create a SHOW Service work environment promoting creativity, collaboration, teamwork, recognition, mutual respect and  employee satisfaction

Actively promote MREP within the company and the events industry

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

KSAs

Knowledgeable of protecting, transporting, repairing and warehousing assets

Knowledgeable of packing, crating, and orchestrating truck deliveries

Knowledgeable of determining staffing needs, scheduling and managing workflow for a large staff

Knowledgeable of tools, equipment and production techniques

Able to operate hand and power tools, scissor lift, fork lift and to lift items, push and pull carts

Able to develop clear knowledge of hotels/venues, dock/security procedures and ballroom specs

Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms

Able to lead and mentor a team

Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment,  i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine

Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular  attention to detail

Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills

Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
