As a Surveillance Investigator, you will be responsible for observing and monitoring the casino floor for potential weakness.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Perform casino floor observations for theft, known advantage players, suspicious individuals and identify employee game protection procedure errors; evaluate investigation findings, recommend courses of action to Surveillance Directors for review and obtain/verify evidence by interviewing and observing suspects and witnesses or by analyzing records

Evaluate the effectiveness of current programs and assist in the development of further internal controls and procedures to eliminate potential weakness areas

Recognize trends and document them accordingly; communicate with Table Games and Surveillance in real time, reporting observations

Complete internet research on advantage play and fraud schemes

Operate Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) and digital recording programs to conduct surveillance; conduct routine surveillance filming, review videos, and complete documentation to detect suspicious activity throughout casino and gaming areas; monitor Table Games, Casino Cage, Soft Count, Poker, and Race and Sports areas and personnel as well as employees adjunct to casino floor

Maintain strict confidentiality for the company when conducting observations and investigations

Use computer and associated hardware to complete documentation and prepare daily reports; maintain evidence by dubbing and saved video files

Prepare and present caseloads to outside agencies for prosecution, such as law enforcement or other government agencies as needed; testify in court as a representative for the Company as necessary and work closely and cooperate with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, including Gaming Control Board (GCB)

Conduct employee and non-employee investigative interviews

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

KSAs

Ability to recognize faces with a high degree of recall and accuracy

Comprehensive knowledge of Nevada Gaming regulations, casino operations, policies, procedures, cheating methods, advantage play systems, and social media investigations

Proficient knowledge of at least one card counting system

Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms

Ability to communicate effectively, concisely and logically in a timely manner and at an appropriate level, while maintaining confidentiality

Ability to make sound decisions immediately without supervision

Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine

Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail

Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
