Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Conduct thorough investigations such as injured employee/fraud/missing property, and minor criminal activities for Corporate Entities and other sensitive and confidential investigations; obtain and verify evidence by interviewing and observing suspects and witnesses or by analyzing records | Prepare reports documenting details and specifics of case, evaluate, recommend and present investigation findings to Security management for review | Prepare and present caseloads to outside agencies for prosecution, such as law enforcement or other government agencies as needed; may testify in court hearings or trials and will tailor crisis communications based on information gathered from property security teams and other sources by following established industry best practices for disseminating actionable information to a broad range of consumers, including company leadership | Gather pertinent data from company security professionals, law enforcement, and others, in order to inform and effectively communicate such to company leadership, including the company’s Crisis Management Team, effectively use Information Technology systems and applications, including company and commercially available databases, publicly available internet data sources, and social media, to gather information | Exhibit superior critical thinking skills and sound judgment in making recommendations and assessments for property and departmental leadership, coordinate with Corporate Security Officers, Corporate Investigators, and Senior Corporate Security Management on sensitive security matters | Partner with local, state and federal law enforcement personnel, Legal, Property Security Staff, and Senior Executives | Review security incident reports to identify basic trends and highlight significant incidents to department leadership, actively monitor public sources, and leverage social media to remain ahead of security issues | Develop and maintain gaming and hospitality industry peer networks in order to increase situational awareness, leverage information sources, and identify industry best practices, gather information in support of the company’s Protective Risk Assessment program | Prepare security alerts and “BOLOs” for dissemination to property security teams and train Watch Center Specialists in assigned tasks |
