Job Profile Title: | Asst Roaster | Job Code: | 11474 | Profile Title: | 11474 Asst Roaster | Grade / Band: | 07 | FLSA Status: | Non-Exempt | The primary responsibility of the Assistant Roaster is to assist Roaster by ensuring all facets of the coffee roasting operations are performed in accordance with set policy, procedure and SHOW service standards, while maintaining retail and warehouse par levels for green and roasted coffee. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental, property, and MGM Resorts International policies, practices, and procedures. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Assists the Roaster with daily coffee roasting operations to ensure the highest standards of service and quality across the property. | Provide support for coffee retail operations including but not limited to K-Cups, packaged retail coffee, cold brew, and nitro bre | Responsible for set up, roasting, flavoring, and packaging of coffee beans to specifications while maintaining recipes to standard | Responsible for transporting roasted coffee beans to all directed areas | Maintain proper maintenance levels on all equipment and report required maintenance to management | Assist Fountain Workers with coffee service and presentation to better accommodate guest(s), including guest complaints, questions or problems as they arise | Keep the management team and Roaster informed of all pertinent information related to the department and report irregularities and problems as they occur along with recommendations for solutions | Ensures Health and Safety protocols including sanitation of roastery by proper organization, cleanliness, and scheduled maintenance of guest facing areas and stations |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | KSAs | Knowledge of all operations and equipment associated with roastery to include roaster, grinder, chaff collector, after burner, bag sealer, flavoring equipment, coffee brewers, espresso machine, K-Cup equipment, and nitro brew equipment | Team oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills | Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms | Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine | Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts |
