The primary responsibility of the Claims Representative II ("Claims Rep") ‐ Arenas and Special Events, is to handle the investigation and analysis of third party property and casualty claims received in Corporate Risk Management, and attend live events at our Arenas and other Special Events in furtherance of overall Risk Management goals. The Claims Rep will determine the extent of MGM Resorts International's liability, if any, and assess alleged damages to effect fair and prompt resolution of claims. At our Live Events, the Claims Rep, in conjunction with the Property Risk Director, will perform risk management initiatives in resolving claims and ensuring safety. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Attend live events at MGM Resorts managed Arenas and other special events throughout MGM Resort's portfolio of properties in Las Vegas to perform onsite Risk Management and risk mitigation functions. Work directly with our Property Risk Directors, Security, and Guest Services teams to immediately address potential claims and resolve matters on‐site with guests. | Conduct investigation of third‐party claims resulting in bodily injury and/or property damage to include reviewing written and visual documentation (surveillance footage, incident reports, medical records, etc.), conducting witness interviews and facilitating onsite inspections for claims. | Maintain the financial aspects of each claim to include ensuring sufficient reserves based on the exposure, post accurate and timely claim payments within the claim database system and review all invoices from vendors to verify accuracy of entries. | Investigate and present claim evaluation, participate in roundtables, and claim reviews with Senior Management. Provide support in obtaining Discoverable items for litigated matters. | Negotiate and resolve claims in a fair and equitable manner, within designated authority level, in compliance with the Company's settlement practices, policies, and procedures. Confer with management for any recommended settlement outside of designated authority level. | Review all claims to identify potential for risk transfer following the review and evaluation of applicable contracts. Prepare proper and timely communication to obtain acceptance of tender and indemnification. | Manage administrative functions of each claim to include maintaining organized claim files, providing up‐to‐date claim notes, and deadlines within the claims management system. Prepare and complete varied required claim forms and reports within scheduled deadlines. | This position is Hybrid‐Remote and has office availability based in Las Vegas. |
