Job Profile Title: | Mgr Privacy | Job Code: | 11755 | Profile Title: | 11755 Mgr Privacy | Grade / Band: | L1 | FLSA Status: | Exempt | The Privacy Manager is a leadership position that is responsible for the oversight of the daily operations within the MGMRI Privacy Office. This individual will also oversee multiple programs and projects within the MGMRI Privacy Office. The individual will work closely with other Leadership and internal teams in our Product, Technology, Security, Compliance, Marketing, Legal, and HR organizations to ensure company‐wide compliance with relevant data protection and privacy laws. The individual will provide support and guidance to the IT Privacy Analyst. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices, and procedures. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Oversee the building and regularly updating of online privacy portals, MGMRIs online Privacy Policy and other Privacy customer front‐facing website/mobile app accessibility tools to follow the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), California (CPRA), and other Privacy regulations as needed | Oversee the Privacy Training program, including Creating Privacy training documents and instruct/train MGM staff members on privacy matters | Oversee the Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA’s), approve data transfers, and flag risks accordingly | Effectively encourages Privacy by Design (data protection through technology design) across the organization. Identifies potential new Privacy Program opportunities to deliver integrated solutions that meet multiple business partner needs. Directs analyses, root cause identification, development, and recommendation of key work products. Works with Information Security and other teams in developing improved Privacy Program additions to response plans, risk assessments, mitigation approaches, investigations, notifications, and other resolution efforts | Serves as an internal expert resource for privacy compliance and responds to policy and procedural questions | Responsible for road mapping privacy changes and modifications to the current Program | Oversees the resolution of privacy compliance issues including effective communication of these issues to business units | Regularly connects with third‐party business partners to make sure both businesses are following privacy laws as it relates to data subject access requests (e.g., OpenTable). Regularly attend training sessions, conferences, webinars on Privacy matters to be the Privacy Subject Matter Expert (SME) for MGMRI. Communicates with teams affected by new privacy and data protection laws and regulations, such as marketing and physical security teams | Investigate privacy trends, new and evolving privacy laws and important changes to existing privacy laws that may affect the organization |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | KSAs | Proven experience managing multiple high priority projects and assignments simultaneously with minimal supervision | Possesses strong technical aptitude and be able to effectively communicate with technology professionals | Understand the flow of information and how the information is utilized; use that knowledge to support the integrity of the Privacy compliance program | Knowledge of US and international privacy law and best practices is highly desired | Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must | Highly developed analytical, problem recognition and resolution, project management, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy | Able to make consistent decisions and apply prior knowledge to new situations | Passionate about digging into a problem and figuring it out | Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts | Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays |
