As a Pizza Cook you will have the satisfaction of overseeing all aspects of pizza preparation. With your attention to detail and high personal standards you will cater to guests' sophisticated tastes, helping create a dining experience they will savor long after they have taken the last bite. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws and MGM Resorts.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Serve food & beverage items to guests, including alcoholic beverages.

Prepare, season, finish, and garnish all specialty food in the pizza kitchen in accordance with established recipes.

Maintain cleanliness of Pizzeria including, but not limited to, counters, cash register and beverage area.

Maintain Pizza display and make sure there is always a visually appealing variety of Pizza pies.

Maintain all pizza refrigeration and dry storage areas to ensure proper handling and rotation of products.

Follow all pizza recipes, specs, and control procedures.

Ensure that pizza stations are clean and that all food items are properly covered and stored at the end of each shift.

Ensure the highest possible standards of guest services and employee relations are maintained at all times.

Inspect all refrigeration and dry storage for proper handling and rotation.

Maintain a clean and sanitary area at all times in full accordance with health regulations.

Ability to multitask on several stations and effectively manage each guest request.

Answer incoming phone calls and follow through with guest and other requests.

Receive payment from guests and adhere to established cash control policies and procedures.

Perform other job-related duties as requested

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

KSAs

Basic understanding of cooking techniques and proper knife skills.

Ability to hand toss an 18” New York style pizza and keep both decks in the oven full during peak times.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English.

Excellent customer service skills.

Polished appearance and demeanor.

Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
