The Flight Attendant is an integral and vital part of the flight crew, sharing responsibility for safety and participating in decision making with the pilots as it impacts the entire flight. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Perform duties assigned by the Pilot in Command, Chief Flight Attendant, or Assistant Chief Flight Attendant | Maintain required periodic certification on emergency procedures and AED/CPR procedures | Assume complete charge of passengers and aircraft during normal and emergency situations when necessary, maintain order and calm in the cabin at all times while the aircraft is under way | Provide emergency medical assistance for passengers when required | Conduct aircraft pre-flight procedures and ensure all the safety, galley and cabin equipment is ready for the flight | Provide superior customer experience for passengers | Ensure the catering order is complete and the needs of their particular flight is satisfied | Adhere to the flight procedures to include arriving one and a half hours before each flight to adequately prepare for flight as well as follow chain of command to resolve issues that arise during day-to-day operations | Follow Company policies and procedures and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | KSAs | Knowledgeable of culinary arts, food, wine and menu planning | Knowledgeable of passenger safety and well-being while on the aircraft | Knowledgeable of Federal Aviation Regulations that govern cabin crewmembers’ conduct during flight operations | Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms | Able to lead and mentor a team | Ability to read and write proficiently to evaluate reports, correspondence and statistical information | Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine | Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts | Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards |
