The Interior Gardener position is primarily responsible for the day-to-day gardening and horticulture operations to ensure that all indoor landscapes are well-maintained and visually appealing.

Responsible for always maintaining the MGMRI standards of service to guests and coworkers.

Design, install, and maintain indoor green spaces within various environments; Develop creative and functional designs for inside gardens; Install indoor gardens according to design, ensuring proper placement and arrangement of plants; Conduct routine inspections to water, fertilize, prune, and groom plants to maintain their health and appearance by understanding plant requirements and indoor environmental conditions.

Monitor and adjust environmental factors such as lighting, humidity, temperature, and fertilization and monitor plant nutrition in plant areas; apply chemicals as needed following safety guidelines and regulations; exercise proper horticultural practices and industry standards.

Properly use a variety of manual hand tools such as rakes, hand saws, pruners sheers, shovels, hoes, fertilizer spreaders, pesticide sprayers, sod knives, and hedge shears.

Monitor and control pests and diseases to prevent damage to indoor plants.

Clean and maintain outdoor spaces to include rock application, raking, blowing, washing, and similar activities.

Properly use a variety of manual hand tools such as hand saws, pruning shears, fertilizer spreaders, pesticide sprayers, sod knives and hedge shears.

Drive and operate company vehicles, trailers, and/or specialized carts to travel between properties and transport materials and equipment.

Clean and maintain gardening tools, equipment, and supply areas to ensure good working conditions.

Follow MGMRI policies and procedures for mobile devices to include work order creation, response, and completion.

Inspect the work area to identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor or management.

an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience

in commercial interior landscape maintenance or resort setting

1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience

in interior landscape design and installation

Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

Certificate in Ornamental Horticulture or related fields

One (1) year of experience creating and maintaining indoor landscapes

Two (2) years of experience in plant health care, turf maintenance, and tree care

Knowledge of interior plant materials and watering practices

Knowledge of indoor pesticide applications

Knowledge of irrigation techniques using sprinklers, portable water machines, hoses and flooding methods

Proficient in plant care techniques, pest and disease management, and environmental control for indoor plants.
