The Vice President will oversee PR strategy for company's vast and diverse sports and entertainment offerings, portfolio of resorts, culinary programs, attractions, amenities, and/or consumer-facing experiences driving visibility, engagement, and brand preference across domestic and international markets. This role will serve as a strategic architect and senior advisor, aligning communications with enterprise-level priorities and the long-term vision of the company, while driving innovative, measurable PR programs across traditional media, digital ecosystems, and emerging content platforms. Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Lead the development of companywide PR strategies, partnering closely with the SVP of Public Relations to ensure initiatives advance enterprise‑level goals and competitive positioning | Manage day-to-day public relations strategy and execution for all entertainment, sports and gaming initiatives and/or hospitality business units within the company’s Las Vegas portfolio | Collaborate closely with corporate and property business leaders to identify organization-wide objectives and strategic public relations strategies that support those goals | Build and maintain relationships with media, internal executives, external partners and other key stakeholders to maintain and expand MGM Resorts’ reputation as a leader in sports & entertainment and hospitality | Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development for the PR Team | Support domestic regional and international resorts, as needed | Partner with senior leadership to align communications strategies with business objectives through long-range planning, program development, budgeting and cross-functional execution | Oversee strategic communications for company’s complete entertainment and sports ecosystem including all arenas/theaters; residency launches; resident production shows; professional and collegiate events across all sports verticals; major citywide sports events; league partnerships and sports betting integrations among other areas | Develop and manage relationships with media influencers, acting as a trusted expert and resource on MGM Resorts' portfolio and strategic vision as a leader in this space | Drive national and international media exposure for the company’s entertainment programming and 20+ resort properties | Support external partners and promoters on all hospitality-related initiatives taking place within the company’s resorts and venues | Develop and deploy innovative communications strategies across earned media, social, content, and next-generation platforms | Ensure consistency in messaging, timing, and prioritization across Corporate Communications, Marketing, Social Media, and Content teams | Shape narrative frameworks that articulate MGM Resorts’ leadership in entertainment, sports, hospitality, innovation, luxury, and guest experience | Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies and shifts in fan/guest behavior, identifying opportunities to innovate communications strategies and enhance the company’s competitive advantage | Partner with Operations teams, Marketing, COEs, property teams and citywide partners to maximize visibility around company’s key priorities | Collaborate with major inbound events to amplify MGM Resorts’ position as a leader in these spaces | Develop and manage budgets for PR initiatives, venue openings, launches, major announcements, and enterprise programs | Build and lead a high-performing, diverse team of PR directors, managers, specialists, and coordinators | Promote a culture of creativity, collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and talent development |
