Peace Officers are responsible for providing Excellent Guest Service including, but not limited to, ensuring the safety of employees and guests and patrolling the property. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Patrol and monitor all areas of the property including fixed posts (indoor & outdoor) and operating the mobile security unit vehicle
Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees
Act as a First Responder in emergency situations
Perform gaming drops/transactions, including carrying drop boxes and chip carriers
Resolves complaints and issues involving both guests and employees
Act as a first responder in emergency situations
Perform all duties related to the Security Horse Racing / Paddock operation
When justified, handle any valid arrests, including all booking, processing and follow up procedures as dictated by NYS Law for Peace Officers
Obtain (if not already certified) and maintain the New York State "Peace Officer" designation through the State of New York Division of Criminal Justice Services
Perform all duties related to the "Security Dispatch" and "Lost & Found" roles
Utilize security software to create, edit and review security reports and other forms of incident documentation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
KSAs
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Ability to learn, demonstrate proficiency and effectively use defensive tactics and handcuffing techniques
Ability to participate in all evacuations procedures to aid guests and employees during an emergency
Ability to operate assigned equipment
Must be flexible to work any shift, weekends, holidays, other
Must be able to use computer based systems for incident report writing and other documentation
Ability to learn, demonstrate proficiency and effectively apply New York State Criminal & Penal Law
