The Senior Network Engineer serves as an escalation point to aid in the resolution of operational incidents within the scope of the tool set. The candidate will drive future development of enterprise platforms and project on premises in the cloud and provide technical delivery of tasks to support projects within the organization. The Senior Network Engineer is expected to possess strong technical and leadership skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and provide problem resolutions, the ability to lead and drive projects to completion, and the ability to mentor other team members in supported technologies. The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with cross functional teams, upper management, and key stakeholders as necessary. The role requires that the individual ensures system hardware, operating systems, systems software, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards and industry best practices. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Display the ability to collaborate with Project Management, Architecture, Applications Support, Development teams and leadership with little supervision, along with participation in technology roadmaps and fiscal budgeting processes. | Provide overall technical leadership on projects, while driving project tasks and team deliverables. | Display the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment with minimal supervision to drive tasks to achieve project milestones and deadlines. | Monitor and maintain components of the Network Technology stack verifying the integrity and availability of all software, server resources, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, along with verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. | Drive vulnerability management per security standards including developing process and procedures in support of security standards. | Maintain a work environment that promotes client service, teamwork, performance feedback, individual recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction ensuring quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment. | Perform security administration, account management, technology reviews. | Provide performance and capacity monitoring and reporting. | Provide ongoing performance tuning and resource optimization as required. | Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. | Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. |
