The Lead Data Architect will lead the strategic implementation of Data Architecture practices across the Enterprise data platforms with cloud-first approach. This position will play a critical role in centralizing the Data architecture design processes & frameworks and help implement them with various Data engineering initiatives in collaboration with Data Engineering & Data product management teams. Also, this position will play a key role in helping establish the data governance practices, access management strategies and data security solutions.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Define the data architecture frameworks, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, and data security on Enterprise data environments.
Partner with our various Data Engineering teams to develop, champion, and implement comprehensive data strategies and related architectures that support various data domains & design principles ensuring scalability, interoperability, security and cost effectiveness.
Define best practices to support batch/streaming ingestion for disparate data sources & systems ensuring seamless data flow, integrating quality rules, and structuring data for analytics consumption by end uses.
Develop and maintain comprehensive data architecture documentation, including data models, data dictionaries, and data quality & validation frameworks.
Guide the team on best practices for building enterprise data warehouse/data marts and related API strategy emphasizing performance, scalability, and resilience.
Leverage cloud-based technologies to evaluate and choose the right tech stack for the platform.
Help establish data governance frameworks and best practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and security. Provide expertise on data security practices, including data encryption, masking, and access control, to safeguard sensitive information.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
KSAs
Strong expertise implementing Enterprise data models and ETL architecture/frameworks.
Strong proficiency on data cloud platforms (preferably Azure cloud).
Expertise with data warehousing, data governance, master data & reference data management, data privacy & compliance, access management frameworks.
Strong experience with Azure Databricks, cloud based ETL tools, data orchestration tools, data modeling tools, PySpark, Python and SQL.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, and the capability to work with cross-functional teams.
AI/ML experience is a plus.
