This position oversees the governance of all gaming technology-related controls—spanning regulatory, industry, and legislative mandates. The Executive Director ensures that MGM Resorts maintains an agile, modern, and robust technology compliance posture. Acting as a strategic partner, the candidate will foster collaborative, high-trust relationships between the MGM Resorts Technology Department, state and international Gaming Control Boards, internal/external auditors, and legal teams, serving as the enterprise subject matter expert (SME) on all technology regulatory matters. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary technical liaison for state and jurisdictional Gaming Control Boards (including NJ DGE, MGC, NYSGC, etc.) on complex IT and systems regulatory matters. Proactively build and maintain relationships of trust, transparency, and goodwill | Compliance Submissions: Oversee the lifecycle (planning, preparation, review, submission, and tracking) of technical compliance submissions, system modifications, and regulatory disclosures | Audit & Assessment Coordination: Lead the facilitation of IT-related gaming audits, collaborating closely with internal and external audit teams to resolve findings and implement corrective action plans | Compliance Automation & Systems Strategy: Drive the strategy for modernizing gaming compliance workflows. Collaborate with technology teams to evaluate, implement, and leverage GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) tools and automated compliance testing | Technology Roadmap Advisory: Partner with system architects, product engineering, and vendor partners to evaluate and guide compliance architectures for next-generation gaming systems, cloud infrastructure, and digital platforms | Executive Advisory & Reporting: Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs) for the technology compliance program. Deliver executive-ready insights and compliance health scorecards to senior leadership | Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate continuously with Legal, Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Internal Audit teams to ensure gaming technology compliance aligns with broader corporate governance, data privacy policies, and information security standards | SME Guidance & Enablement: Provide technical compliance training, advice, and guidance to software development, engineering, operations, and property-level teams to foster a culture of "Compliance by Design" | Policy Development: Lead the development, review, and modernization of internal policies, standards, and procedures to reflect changes in the regulatory landscape |
