This role requires product management level ownership for network solutions. The Director of Network Engineering will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our network infrastructure and guest digital experience. The Director will lead a dynamic team of wired and wireless network engineers, acting as a player-coach to drive innovation and excellence. The candidate's expertise with every level of the OSI stack with emphasis on Layer 2, Layer 3, SDA, DWDM, and large enterprise network technologies will guide your team in delivering secure, resilient, and highly available network solutions. Additionally, the Director will oversee complex incident management, problem resolution, and proactive maintenance to ensure an optimal network experience. This includes leading wired/wireless team's delivery of service governance reporting, capital and operational expense management, and continuous improvement of network designs. Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Lead a team of wired and wireless network engineers as a player-coach. | Mentor team members to continuously grow their professional skills, including communicating results across the enterprise through network service reports. | Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages professional growth and knowledge sharing. Communicate the team’s expert understanding of Layer 3 and large enterprise network technologies through service governance reports. | Manage wired/wireless team's performance, set goals, and provide feedback to maintain high standards. Mentor the team’s capabilities for technical analysis and requirements grounded solution engineering to deliver highly available, secure, and resilient designs that meet digital service needs. | Direct the team’s expert understanding as a player coach for Layer 3 and large enterprise network technologies to deliver world-class digital experience. Grow the team’s focus on technical analysis and evolving solution engineering to deliver highly available, secure, and resilient designs. | Drive complex incident management and problem resolution for all network technologies. | Support and guide the wired and wireless teams prioritized focus on optimizing tools such as Cisco Catalyst Center, SNMP, Sflow/netflow, SDA, DWDM, and ACI along with other observability tools. | Create a culture of data driven management that seeks proactive awareness of network capacity, health, and efficiency (cost). | Sponsor and help lead preventative maintenance efforts and respond to operational issues to ensure optimal network experience. Establish wired and wireless governance frameworks for network operations, SLA performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements. | Direct the implementation of complex wired and wireless secure network designs. | Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that solution architecture, network architecture, and planned build maximize business impact. Ensure all team members are engaging with vendors and partners to bring forward proven industry solutions that set a foundation for digital business innovation. | Drive continuous improvement of network designs to optimize security, scalability, availability, standardization, supportability, and cost. | Own accountability for wired, wireless, and circuit Governance reports for performance, availability, and cost. Direct and lead team engagement with vendors to ensure all solutions meet the technical, business, and contract requirements. |
