The Associate Network Services and Architecture role is an entry-to-mid-level position (Junior Network Architect) within the Network Strategy & Architecture team. This role is instrumental in supporting the structural integrity, design, and evolution of our network. The primary focus of this position is to act as the foundational support for network documentation, assisting senior architects in mapping out current environments, and illustrating future state architectures that support MGM Resorts' global hospitality and entertainment operations.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Take ownership of mapping and documenting the current network architecture across various MGM Resorts properties and data centers.
Assist senior architects in creating, updating, and maintaining Low-Level Design (LLD) and High-Level Design (HLD) documents for upcoming network deployments and migrations.
Collaborate within the network architecture team to draft and visualize future network architecture roadmaps and blueprints.
Standardize and maintain a comprehensive repository of network diagrams, topologies, and technical workflows using tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar diagramming software.
Work closely with the network engineering, operation, security, and cloud infrastructure teams to ensure architectural documentation accurately reflects production environments.
Assist the team in developing and implementing improvements to network efficiency, reliability, scalability, and cost
Identify gaps in current technical documentation and proactively propose improvements to documentation standards and architectural review processes.

Education

1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience	in enterprise technology, documentation, or a related field.	Required
3+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience	in network engineering, network administration, or an associate architect role.	Required

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.	Required
Solid understanding of foundational networking concepts (Routing, Switching, Wireless, and Security).	Required
Familiarity with enterprise network hardware and software (Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, etc.).	Preferred
Basic understanding of cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP).	Preferred
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.	Required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.	Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
KSAs
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
Proficiency in technical diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart, etc.).
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, easy-to-understand documentation.
