The Director will ensure that the network operates optimally with proactive issue detection, delivering paramount business and customer benefits. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operational governance, cross-functional architecture review, enterprise architecture governance, vendor design governance, and the continuous improvement of designs to optimize cost, scalability, availability, security, and supportability. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Lead and mentor a team of senior network architects as a player-coach. | Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages professional growth and knowledge sharing. | Manage team performance, set goals, and provide feedback to maintain high technical standards and solution results. | Engage as a senior leader in cross-functional team engagements to guide the best digital experience possible for all solutions. | Develop and oversee comprehensive physical and logical network designs that demonstrate full clarity for how the network supports a full-stack enterprise solution design. | Ensure designs adhere to industry standards and best practices, optimize network performance and reliability, and reflect a strong understanding of layer 3 and large enterprise network technologies. | Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network architectures that align with business objectives. | Design and implement monitoring systems to confirm the network operates optimally, providing proactive issue detection. Utilize network performance metrics to identify and address potential bottlenecks or failures. | Integrate current Observability best practices to benefit operational capabilities and cross-team understanding. Continuously improve monitoring strategies to enhance network reliability and user experience, verifying the optimal operation of solution architectures. | Clearly articulate the business or customer benefits of network designs to stakeholders, emphasizing the value of optimized digital experiences. | Develop use cases and scenarios showcasing how network designs meet business objectives and improve operational efficiency. | Ensure designs align with business goals, improving customer satisfaction and achieving desired outcomes. | Establish and maintain governance frameworks for network operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. | Lead cross-functional architecture reviews to ensure designs meet enterprise standards and align with the overall enterprise architecture strategy. | Manage vendor relationships, ensuring vendor designs meet enterprise requirements and overseeing vendor performance. | Drive continuous improvement of network designs to optimize cost, scalability, availability, security, and supportability. |
