The Sr. Manager of Network Firewall will lead a talented team of firewall engineers.  The candidate should have a product management level ownership for netsec solutions positioned to significantly impact our enterprise network's security, resilience, and digital business agility. The Sr. Manager will create and deliver a secure connectivity vision, lead complex incident and problem management, and set a foundation to continuously improve our network security. The Sr. Manager of Firewall will ensure optimal security posture by managing firewall policies, monitoring for threats, monitoring for healthy application operation, and staying abreast of evolving trends while maintaining compliance with industry best practices and regulations.

Manage and lead a team of firewall engineers, serving as a player-coach to mentor and guide. Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes continuous learning and professional growth.

Develop and implement strategies to enhance team performance and drive project success.

Maintain a strong understanding of firewall and application security best practices for a large, distributed enterprise network.

Perform technical analysis and lead engineering efforts to deliver highly available, secure, and resilient network designs. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Monitor the network environment using SNMP, netsec policy management tools, and application observability tools.

Drive proactive awareness of capacity and network security health. Lead preventative maintenance activities and respond to operational issues to ensure optimal network performance.

Implement complex firewall architectures to meet organizational security requirements.

Drive complex incident management and problem resolution efforts to efficiently address application-layer network security issues.

Oversee and improve vendor governance processes to ensure high-quality, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize designs for cost, scalability, availability, security, and supportability.

Conduct regular performance reviews of existing network security solutions and recommend enhancements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network security aligns with overall business goals.
