This role involves product management level ownership for network solutions, focusing on team leadership, technical expertise in layer 3 and large enterprise network technologies, and proactive network monitoring with experience performing maintenance/administrative tasks at scale. The Sr. Manager will ensure network designs are highly available, secure, and resilient, providing an optimal network experience. The Sr. Manager of Network Engineering will oversee complex network and security designs, incident management, vendor governance, and continuous improvement to optimize cost, scalability, availability, security, and supportability. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Lead and mentor a team of wired network engineers as a player-coach. | Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages professional growth and knowledge sharing. | Manage team performance, set goals, and provide feedback to ensure high standards are maintained. | Demonstrate a strong understanding of layer 3 and large enterprise network technologies related to both wired and wireless technologies. | Perform technical analysis and lead engineering efforts against solution designs that include Cisco ACI, Cisco Route/Switch, and SDWAN. | Deliver highly available, secure, and resilient network designs that meet business requirements. | Configure, upgrade and install network equipment. | Monitor the network system state using tools such as Cisco Catalyst Center, SNMP, Sflow/netflow, and other observability tools. | Drive proactive awareness of network capacity and health. | Lead preventative maintenance efforts and respond to operational issues to ensure optimal network experience. | Oversee the implementation of complex network and security designs. | Ensure designs adhere to industry standards and best practices. | Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network architectures that align with business objectives. | Drive complex incident management and problem resolution for all network technologies. | Establish and maintain governance frameworks for network operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. | Manage vendor relationships and ensure vendor designs meet enterprise requirements. |
