Job Profile Title: | Legal Counsel Privacy Advertising | Job Code: | 12500 | Business_Title | Privacy Advertising Legal Counsel | Profile Title: | 12500 Legal Counsel Privacy Advertising | Grade / Band: | L4 | FLSA Status: | Exempt | It is the primary responsibility of the Privacy Advertising Legal Counsel to perform, at the direction of a designated Vice President & Legal Counsel and other senior department attorneys (as applicable), professional legal work related to assigned matters for MGM Resorts International and subsidiary organizations, specifically in the areas of privacy, advertising and non-gaming regulatory law. The Privacy Advertising Legal Counsel is responsible for providing privacy and advertising support for the business, including liaising with outside counsel, MGM privacy team, MGM marketing teams and other business stakeholders; reviewing and analyzing privacy and advertising laws and working with business stakeholders in implementing applicable requirements under such laws; and advising key internal stakeholders on privacy and advertising-related issues including those related to new and/or digital technologies such as AI, text messaging and push notifications. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Reviews data privacy and related contract provisions in various agreements including data processing addendums, vendor agreements, marketing agreements, and others. | Responds to inquiries related to privacy and advertising matters from regulatory bodies, enforcement officials and others. | Coordinates with internal tax, litigation, compliance, legal and other stakeholders as needed on relevant issues. | Manages outside counsel, including invoice review and monitoring compliance with billing guidelines, and provides updates to insurers as needed. | Provide sound, well-reasoned legal advice to the Company’s various groups. | Develops and maintains strong business relationships among the various internal business groups requiring legal support. | Demonstrate leadership and team-working skills in support of a collaborative environment. | Supervise paralegals and staff on work assignments. | Exercises discretion and independent judgment commensurate with specialized legal skills and experience. |
