Security Officers are responsible for providing Excellent Guest Service including, but not limited to, ensuring the safety of employees and guests and patrolling the property. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Patrol and monitor all areas of the property on foot, by operating a bicycle or company vehicle.
Monitor and conduct access control in all areas of the property including fixed posts (Indoor & Outdoor).
Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees
Assist in emergency situations by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advise personnel of threats and potential threats, summon emergency responders to the incident, and initiate and conduct evacuation procedures
Perform all duties related to Security Dispatch, Lost & Found and Visitor management
Perform gaming drops/transactions, including security escorts, carrying drop boxes and chip carriers
Resolves complaints and issues involving both guests and employees

Previous experience working in a similar resort setting	Preferred
Previous casino security experience	Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
KSAs
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Ability to learn, demonstrate proficiency and effectively use defensive tactics and handcuffing techniques
Ability to participate in all evacuations procedures to aid guests and employees during an emergency
Ability to operate assigned equipment
Must be flexible to work any shift, weekends, holidays, other
Must be able to use computer-based systems for Dispatch, Lost & Found and Visitor Management
Ability to learn, demonstrate proficiency and effectively apply New York State Criminal & Penal Law
Obtain (if not already certified) and maintain the New York State “Security Guard” license through the New York State Division of Licensing Services
