The role will assist in maintaining effective communication channels with internal stakeholders, external regulatory agencies, and industry partners regarding UAS safety matters. The manager will provide guidance and support to UAS operators on airspace coordination, flight planning, and safety procedures, in coordination with the Director. The candidate will aid in development of relationships with industry organizations, regulatory bodies, and UAS operators to stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes. In the Directors absence, this role will facilitate approval or denials, answer to stakeholders of UAS request, and IAW (in accordance with) established policy. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Independently conducts internal audits, advises management of potential hazards, and quality escapes within Aviation and integrates findings into department training programs | Routinely develops, reviews safety, accident, injury, and incident reporting systems independently | Responsible for the interaction and communication with Corporate Safety, Security, aircrews, local, state and federal agencies, and monitors travel security requirements for all Company flights | Independently ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidelines related to UAS operations | Provide independent leadership, guidance, and support to UAS operators on airspace coordination, flight planning, and safety procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness | Establish and maintain effective communication channels and relationships with internal stakeholders, regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and UAS/Flight operators to ensure awareness of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes | Support strategic leadership and direction for UAS/Flight safety initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts under the guidance of the Director | Responsible for the implementation of a comprehensive UAS and guest Flight safety program across all MGM Resorts International properties | Collaborates with the Director and Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) to bolster awareness of employee locations and assets during all international travel | Accountable for IT electronic devices issued to the Aviation department |
