This role focuses on driving value through strategic planning, supplier collaboration, market intelligence, and alignment with internal stakeholders while working closely with a separate sourcing team to execute purchasing strategies. Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Define and champion the long-range category management vision, ensuring alignment with company-wide priorities and future business needs. | Lead the development of multi-year category roadmaps, incorporating innovation, risk mitigation, supplier diversity, and ESG goals. | Utilize market intelligence, TCO models, and demand analytics to drive data-informed strategy development. | Collaborate with executive stakeholders across business units to ensure strategies address enterprise-level opportunities and challenges. | Serve as the executive sponsor for key supplier relationships within core categories, fostering strategic alignment, innovation, and mutual growth. | Oversee long-term supplier capability planning, performance management, and value delivery initiatives. | Lead supplier development efforts, including executive-level QBRs and transformation programs. | Partner with sourcing and quality leaders to influence supplier selection and engagement frameworks. | Act as the executive liaison between category management and senior stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Sourcing, Legal, and ESG teams. | Translate evolving business needs into scalable, forward-thinking category strategies. | Drive enterprise-level initiatives that optimize category performance, financial impact, and operational efficiency. | Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of category leaders and managers. | Establish and institutionalize best-in-class frameworks for category planning, supplier engagement, and value tracking. | Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across the category management function. | Represent the category function in enterprise forums, steering committees, and strategic planning sessions. | Proactively identify category-specific risks across global supply continuity, market volatility, and regulatory landscapes. | Ensure ESG, supplier diversity, and responsible sourcing principles are deeply embedded in all category strategies. | Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Sustainability teams to uphold compliance and advance corporate citizenship goals. |
