The position drives business value by partnering with technology leaders and senior executives to align sourcing strategies with short- and long-term profitability goals. Additionally, the Director collaborates with legal, risk, tax, and data security teams to ensure compliance with evolving regulations and contracting standards. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Assist and support leadership in development and monitoring of processes and procedures, change management, sourcing strategies, budgets that produce both short-term and long-term profitability | Develop and build processes that allow for maximum strategic value | Oversee and manage the technology sourcing team to ensure that acquisition of goods and services related to technology are prioritized, negotiated, risks mitigated, budgeted, and approved while driving bottom line impact. Ensure team collaboration with business partners, risk, data security, legal, and technology partners and manage and resolve outstanding issues related to technology acquisitions | Provide operational guidance to the technology sourcing team and business partners | Provide mentorship and coaching, including team building and collaboration | Progress towards achievement of organizational goals and objectives; including personal goals | Collaborate with technology leaders, business partners, senior and executive leadership on technology acquisitions, strategic vision, and provide guidance on such acquisitions and strategies | Maintain the highest standard of doing business with our suppliers, business partners, technology partners and others - Identify areas of improvement | Lead high-level negotiations with suppliers and collaboration with technology business partners, legal, risk, data security, technology leadership to obtain favorable pricing and terms and conditions | Utilize and build processes within Smartsheet and other software that will maximize reporting capabilities to show value, time to market, savings, prioritization, approvals, and etc. | Maintain knowledge of contractual language and understanding of the technology being acquired | Collaborate with Risk Management, Privacy, Data Security, Corporate Legal, and others to incorporate changes into our templates as required |
