As an Apprentice Mixologist, you will be responsible for having extensive knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers, wines and non-alcoholic selections as well as maintaining the appearance of the bar. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Make, serve, and demonstrate complex knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available, proportioning ingredients according to standardized.

Maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls and the cleanliness of the bar and equipment Account for poured or served beverages, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork.

Provide Bartender and Bar Porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service and bartending.

Demonstrate proficiency in food service, knowledge of menu, allergies, and other potential guest restrictions. This includes but is not limited to, proper marking, clearly, and table side service.

Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.

Utilize special tools and culinary equipment to prepare items like fresh juice a la minute, infusions, molecular style cocktails, cutting ice, and production of presentations items.

Maintain effective communication with management, bartenders, and lateral departments in order to fully accompany any guest or employee needs

Utilize sales techniques in order to up sell food and beverage products available in the outlet while having a pristine dedication to refinery resulting in polished yet artistic cocktails, serving to elevate the guests’ experience

KSAs

Knowledgeable of menu items, including mixture and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, menu items, supplies and equipment.

Extensive knowledge in Spirits, including production, history, methods of production, and brands.

Knowledge of wine, producers, varietals, methods of production, and service.

Knowledgeable of restaurant operations, such as opening/closing procedures, food cost awareness, and ordering food and beverage products

Knowledge beverage products, including preparation methods/times, major ingredients, quality standards, taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, garnish, and method presentation.

Knowledgeable of how to safely use all kitchen equipment, including knife skills.

Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under the constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail

Able to lead and mentor a team.

Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations.

Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
