This role drives the architectural direction of the Lakehouse, ensures enterprise reliability, defines data quality and observability standards, and mentors engineering teams in best practices. The position partners with leadership, Data Science, Analytics, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted, high-performance, and scalable data products that power enterprise decision-making. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Serve as the architectural owner for domain-wide data models, metric definitions, and semantic consistency across Gaming, Hospitality, Loyalty, and Marketing. | Design and maintain enterprise-certified curated datasets, ensuring high-quality metric logic and business alignment. | Architect high-scale Lakehouse solutions optimized for performance, cost, lineage, and governance. | Define platform conventions for partitioning, Z-ordering, file compaction, cluster sizing, and workload orchestration. | Build reusable frameworks and accelerators for ingestion, validation, and orchestration. | Define enterprise-wide observability standards, including freshness SLAs, anomaly detection, and schema drift checks. | Architect automated self-healing workflows, quality gates, and impact analysis mechanisms. | Own performance tuning strategies for shared workloads, batch, streaming, and high-volume analytics. | Lead incident response processes for high-severity data issues and guide long-term remediation. | Act as the primary technical authority and mentor across data engineering teams, driving cross-functional initiatives and platform modernization. |
