Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Events & Experiences Development, this role manages the critical path of new event development from initial ideation through ticket on-sale, ensuring a seamless transition and hand-off to the Event Operations team(s). The Manager collaborates extensively with external business partners and internal MGM Resorts International leadership to manage complex timelines, build robust commercial plans, and successfully bring new event concepts to life. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Manage the new event critical path from initial ideation through the ticket on-sale phase, establishing structured timelines and ensuring seamless progression across all development stages. | Create and refine milestone documents for each phase of the development cycle, including the Indicative Concept Brief, Concept Deck, and Business Plan, translating complex ideas into polished deliverables for key stakeholder and executive distribution. | Collaborate directly with external business partners and leadership across internal MGMRI corporate and property departments to drive alignment, manage timelines, and achieve critical deliverables supporting new event development. | Maintain and safeguard the department’s essential assets, including the pipeline tracker and the division’s master multi-year event calendar, ensuring absolute accuracy, operational transparency, and strict confidentiality. | Serve as the primary owner and facilitator of the department’s operational cadence, managing meeting agendas, documenting comprehensive action items, and tracking cross-functional deliverables. | Drive the development and maintenance of new event pro formas, collaborating with finance and analytics teams to ensure financial viability and strategic alignment with portfolio goals. | Partner with supporting MGMRI revenue-generating departments to develop cohesive event commercial plans and ensure all project deliverables are executed on schedule. | Proactively identify project risks, timeline bottlenecks, or resource constraints across the development lifecycle, formulating effective mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track. | Formulate operational hand-off strategies, serving as the primary liaison to partner with Event Operations team(s) to guarantee a flawless transition from development to live execution. | Research and synthesize industry trends, competitive insights, and consumer demand data to contribute high-impact recommendations for future owned event concepts. | Oversee and execute high-priority ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives as directed by departmental leadership. |
