The Assistant Shift Manager of Armed Security Operations is responsible for providing leadership, operational oversight, and an armed security presence to protect personnel, guests, and assets. This role acts as a visual deterrent and is responsible for notifying law enforcement of any threat to the property. 

Manage all security-related operational matters for designated buildings, locations, and events, including supervising, hiring, training, and evaluating line-level security employees while fostering a team-oriented work environment.

Monitor controlled access points to authorize the entrance and departure of employees, guests, and visitors, guarding against contraband and maintaining overall premise security.  Perform regular security safety system checks.

Respond to and secure emergency scenes to prevent loss or damage, advise personnel of threats, summon emergency responders, and lead evacuation procedures when necessary.

Render appropriate first aid, CPR, or AED assistance to injured persons in accordance with established medical and reporting protocols.

Develop and maintain critical professional relationships with local law enforcement, emergency responders, gaming agents, and regulatory officials to ensure full operational compliance.

Deliver exceptional service to guests and employees, proactively resolving complaints and rule infractions with professionalism and poise.

Write comprehensive daily activity reports documenting property damage, theft, accidents, and hazard assessments, while safeguarding highly sensitive and confidential company information.

2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience

operations or management experience in the security field while being armed.

law enforcement, military police, military special operations, or related armed public-facing roles.

Must have and maintain all licenses and permits required to carry and use a firearm in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws as a condition of employment.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Gaming License.

Ability to pass and maintain qualifications for the Armed Security Officer Program through the corporate firearms program.

Ability to pass and maintain CPR/AED Simulation and Certification.

Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Graduation from an accredited US federal (e.g., DOE, DOD), state, county or local law enforcement academy

Prior military experience.

Demonstrate a unique blend of operational leadership, crisis management expertise, tactical proficiency, and specialized physical conditioning required to respond to active security incidents.

Exceptional ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms. Strong interpersonal skills for conflict management and high-pressure de-escalation.

Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in team tactics, defensive tactics, and the safe, judicious handling of firearms and less-than-lethal force alternatives.

Ability to make sound, immediate decisions without supervision and evaluate, compile, and disseminate information accurately during rapidly changing, high-stress events.

Capable of leading and mentoring a team, holding others accountable, and championing innovation and diversity.

Working knowledge of security safety systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, MS Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
