Job Profile Title: | Apprn Carpenter-Union | Job Code: | 14000 | Profile Title: | 14000 Apprn Carpenter-Union | Grade / Band: | Union - Hourly | FLSA Status: | Non-Exempt | It is the responsibility of the Carpenter Apprentice to perform predictive maintenance and reactive repairs, including repairing broken or damaged furniture, building custom cabinetry, tables, office space and other furniture as requested. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and company policies, practices, and procedures to ensure overall facility integrity. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Repair, adjust, or replace furnishings | Perform repair work on all furniture, cabinetry, rooms, public areas and offices throughout the property, responsible for completion of all jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management | Work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to obtain dimensions and finished specifications, lay out job and compute angular and linear dimensions as required | Understand the layout of the property, hotel rooms and equipment | Work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner | Keep informed and updated on current techniques and technical methods | Maintain a constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention, able to wear/use personal protective equipment (p.p.e.) |
