It is the responsibility of the Dispatcher to provide excellent internal and external Guest Service by using excellent service and communication skills to support the guest, engineers and other departments in their goals.

 


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Manage computerized maintenance management systems to prioritize, manage and dispatch maintenance team, complete assigned administrative tasks on a consistent basis

Recognize required needs of a fast-paced environment by using good judgment and the ability to multi-task; own all requests and complaints; resolve issues immediately and follow up to ensure the guest’s satisfaction; answer incoming calls and assist when necessary or direct calls to appropriate areas

Practice teamwork, create a positive work environment, greet fellow employees and thank them when they lend assistance; anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, no matter how busy or time of day; prioritize guest requests/dispatches

Knowledgeable of Department and Hotel goals; knowledgeable of hotel information to answer guest inquiries, and work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner

Maintain a constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention

Must possess trade specific skills as described in the responsibilities/duties above

General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

Communicate through multi-line phone system, two-way radio and/or cellular telephone

Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine

Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills

Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
