The Water Quality Aquarist will support the animal care department by providing analysis, record keeping, and reporting of water quality to provide the best in care to our living species.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Basic laboratory techniques; solution preparation, treatment calculation and measurements, analytical instrument usage and maintenance.
Sample collecting and water analysis using a variety of instruments and methods.
Maintain animal care logs; specifically, water quality, mortality, and quarantine databases.
Assist the Curator, Lead Aquarist, Aquarists and Veterinarians in the husbandry and life support of aquarium systems and animal holdings; provides daily care of animals and exhibits.
Manage Water Quality Lab and Veterinarian inventory(s).

Good interpersonal skills to deal effectively with public, students volunteer other departments and outside bodies.
General computer and Office applications skills.
Ability to adapt to changing conditions and the alertness of working with live animals.
