Coordinating school, community outreach and scouting programs. This includes the development and activation of interpretive positions throughout Shark Reef Aquarium with general live interpretation of exhibits, animal encounters, facilitating training in interpretive techniques and content for guests and staff. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Develop and design high quality, innovative, interactive, and entertaining curriculum for education programming including school tours, outreach programs, Career Days, Reading Weeks, birthday parties, Girl Scout badge programs, community events and aquarium visitors. | Work with the Education Manager in content development of educational materials, training manuals for students, classes and staff, and other educational related signage and programming. | Lead and interpret the Aquarium’s living collection to guests, schools, private groups, and VIPs through interactive programs and classroom activities daily. | Schedule education program reservations, including field trips, outreach programs, birthday parties, and scout programs as well as plan and implement special events and programs. | Provide training and development of the Aquarium interpretive staff including Education Tour Guides and Naturalists. |
