It is the primary responsibility of the Employee Bank Cashier to process monetary transactions and exchanges with the casino cage, non-cage property employees and approved vendors partnering with the property.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Supply rolled coin and clips or straps of currency to cash handling employees of the property in exchange for currency

Maintain appropriate levels of coin and currency in bank to service the property

Secure and document all recordable transactions made with company assets

Prepare transfer forms for delivery of coin, currency or value documents to the cage

Maintain accountability and inventory sheets for the bank throughout a shift

Balance bank at end of shift

Assist employees with general information upon request

Redeem chips, coin and TITO tickets given to employees as tokes, providing currency in exchange

Employee Bank Cashiers may: count, accept and store drops from the Count Team; must account for those funds; accept Slot Jackpots, Slot Fills and credits, providing equal value for documents provided; maintain, load and reload Kiosk/TRUunits and cassettes, sealing and inventorying as needed; maintain and reload recycler units

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

KSAs

General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and money handling

Ability to balance a bank without assistance (locating errors when out of balance)

Working knowledge of 10-key adding machine, currency counter and coin JetSort.

Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms

Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine

Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
