It is the responsibility of the Marketing Coordinator to execute and support the development of special events, promotions, and  other marketing related efforts while providing excellent guest service. 


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage marketing efforts and event planning; assist in developing marketing plans

Manage both online and traditional advertising, and collateral development to promote events throughout the property

Stay abreast of pertinent information as it relates to promotions to ensure accurate communication to guests

Effectively communicate to other team members marketing promotions and event details; keep team members and guests  informed of any changes as they occur

Participate in promotions meetings, brainstorming on new promotions, taking meeting minutes and acting as liaison with  other departments to distribute minutes, completed collateral, and other promotional materials

Monitor marketing budget and track department expenditures to reduce overspending and control costs; place purchase  orders for administrative items and services such as prizes and promotional give-a-way

Maintain promotional inventory and track payments against open purchase orders and secures requisitions and invoices

Track process of promotions from conception to finish; set-up and maintain promotion files ensuring information is up-to date and complete; maintain files of all project quotations and prepare departmental standard reports

Track and record promotion and event participants; complete all required paperwork to maintain detailed accurate records  of promotion, tournament and drawing winners

KSAs

General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e.  telephone, copier, fax machine

Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular  attention to detail

Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills

Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
