It is the primary responsibility of the Poker Supervisor to directly oversee the day-to-day activities of all non-management personnel in the Poker Room during an assigned shift while providing quality service to all guests. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and Company policies, practices, and procedures.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Supervise assigned operational functions consistent with the strategic plan, the fiscal budget, and the company’s short term and long-term profitability objectives

Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes

Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction

Actively listen to employees and customers for input to provide ideas and suggestions for new products, services, technology and processes to ensure company’s competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer  needs

Greet players and maintain the list for seating them into the poker games

Explain games and procedures and assist the guests with any necessary requests

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

KSAs

Complete knowledge of common rules and procedures of all Poker games

General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms

Able to lead and mentor a team

Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine

Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
