The food server is also responsible for performing side work and general cleaning of assigned stations. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome | Guide guest through all phases of their experience at the restaurant | Knowledgeable of selling techniques, service delivery of both non and alcoholic beverages, and service delivery of menu items of every course | Itemize bills correctly and efficiently secure payment | Maintain cleanliness and stock of assigned area, side station, tables and Point of Sale (POS) station | Anticipate the guest needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency | Communicate with management, chef and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guest and or employees | Perform other job-related duties as requested |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | KSAs | Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and supplies, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators, and coolers, slicers and beverage machines | Knowledge of menu items, including characteristics of wine and champagne by the glass, major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes | Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations | Basic knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems and computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine | Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts |
