Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed | Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available | Maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in bar | Ring beverages that are poured or served, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork | Provide apprentice bartender and bar porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service, and bartending | Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order, including cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar | Participate in modeling, presentations and promotions programs throughout the casino and resort if applicable | Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusal events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft |
