Job Profile Title: | Tech Facilities Horticulture | Job Code: | 16403 | Profile Title: | 16403 Tech Facilities Horticulture | Grade / Band: | 08 | FLSA Status: | Non-Exempt | It is the responsibility of the Conservatory Tech to perform project maintenance and repair work on all electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems within the Conservatory and to accomplish all functional duties. Also to take on the task of assisting with organizing the warehouse. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Troubleshoot and repair light fixtures, dimming and UPS systems, data systems, motor controls, plumbing, and electrical issues, while working with power ranging from low to medium voltage | Perform welding and fabrication for the necessary props and perform repairs on Conservatory equipment in the building | Maintain a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention; keep informed and updated on current technical methods | Drive and operate company vehicle, specialized carts, scissor and boom lifts, and climb ladders to access elevated areas such as ceilings and catwalks | Maintain cleanliness, safety and order in all storage, public and common work areas including all tools and equipment stored or used in these areas |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | KSAs | Able to read and understand technical instructions, schematics, and blueprints (e.g., electrical schematics, building blueprints) | Knowledgeable of local and Federal building and safety codes | Knowledgeable of materials, methods, and tools involved in building repair. This includes the ability to report and/or repair buildings, structures, or paved surfaces | Knowledgeable with plumbing techniques including installing plumbing equipment and lighting fixtures needed in the conservatory | Able to operate Lift equipment at high heights in the Conservatory and warehouse | Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms | Able to lead and mentor a team | Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills | Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts | Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards |
