The primary role of the AV Design Engineer is to assist with the design and integration of technology into properties including public venues, guest rooms, convention and meeting spaces. The role will work alongside others on a team to design and implement A/V projects.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for developing the designs of all A/V projects in public venues, guest rooms and suites, and convention areas in coordination with MGM Resorts Design & Development (MRDD), Architects, and consultants to produce designs and drawings and ROM budgets
Review and approve Project Design Drawings
Participate in the A/V bidding process in coordination with MRDD
Develop & submit Media Technology A/V project Bills of Materials and budgets
Manage individual A/V project plans and schedules
Develop relationships with A/V consultants and integrators
Daily / weekly travel to various locations to implement corporate initiatives around guest facing technology

Work Experience

3+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience	Experience operating, maintaining, audiovisual systems for commercial, gaming, hospitality, Theatre, Live Production or residential environments	Required

Previous experience working in a similar resort setting	Preferred
Crestron / AMX Control system certification	Preferred
BSS / Media Matrix / Audio DSP hardware and software experience	Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
KSAs
Strong knowledge of audio / video equipment and associated cabling standards
Strong understanding for large IP networks.
Ability to read and understand architectural drawings
Knowledge and experience utilizing IPTV terminology
Ability to produce technical diagrams using software
Ability to communicate effectively with all business contacts.
Proficient use of Microsoft’s Office Software
Knowledgeable with the installation, setup and operation of digital audio transport methods
