Job Profile Title: | Mgr Entertainment Venues | Job Code: | 19248 | Profile Title: | 19248 Mgr Entertainment Venues | Grade / Band: | L1 | FLSA Status: | Exempt | The Event Services Manager is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house operations (including but not limited to Event Services Supervisors, Ushers, Ticket Takers, EVS, Security, EMS and facilities) for all events hosted in Dolby Live and other MGM Resorts entertainment venues as needed. The Event Services Manager ensures all activities performed within the reporting departments are in accordance with the company's business objectives, budget guidelines, mission statement, and core service standards. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Oversee staffing, budgeting, and forecasts of all costs associated with front of house positions (i.e., ushers, ticket scanners, EVS, and EMS crews) to provide prevent estimates and post event final summary of expenses for all events that go to the Finance Manager for use during event settlement. | In conjunction with the Production Manager and Security Manager, advance venue events/shows (e.g., review riders) with clients and communicate event requirements to all departments while being a liaison with tour promoters, security directors, meeting planners and convention services staff for the coordination of all front of house needs from security and medical to ushers, ticket scanners, greeters, and other staff. | Collaborates with Box Office personnel on ticketing/scanning and resolves issues as appropriate. | Responds and resolve any and all guest concerns received directly, indirectly or through all MGMRI property guest experience teams in a timely manner with an appropriate method, in person, orally or in writing. | Manage daily setup, to efficiently manage labor and associated event time sheets accurately and in a proficient manner for assigned functions, to reflect all front of house needs throughout the venue. | Manage Human Resources responsibilities for the specifically assigned areas; create and maintain a work environment that promotes client service, teamwork, performance feedback, individual recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction ensuring quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment. |
