The Executive Director Finance Operations reports to and partners with the Group Finance Leader to set the financial policy and direction  for the property. Position is an active participant in, and driver of, the organization's overall strategy. Ensures all activities performed within the department are in accordance with MGM's business objectives, budget guidelines, established safety standards, and company policies, practices and procedures.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Accountable forthe operational and gaming regulatory compliance function in accordance with the jurisdictional gaming and/orlottery commission and other government agencies. Also ensure property compliance with all legal and company regulations and policies.

Ensure quality processesin alignment with company policies and procedures, ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, gaming, other regulatory and internal controlrequirements, conduct ongoing risk assessmentsto ensure foundational health and mitigate risk, and oversee the risk managementliability exposure forthe property and monitors/governing related financial expenditures

Drives key operational and strategic initiatives by developing and implementing a strategic plan and vision forthe property consistent with the company's vision/mission and serves as a key member ofthe property’s Operating Committee

Serves as both a financial and operational resource to the President and operational division headsrelative to the financialsuccess and viability ofthe property

Participatesin the identification and development of business partnerships and relationships which may be beneficialto the long-term growth and success ofthe property. Works closely with property department managementto establish sound operational business practices and methodsto ensure all projects and assignments produce quality results,remain within budget, and meet targeted deadlines.

Provides executive oversight and direction forthe Finance Division, to include: Financial Planning & Analysis, Cage/Credit/Collections/MarkerOperations, Casino Finance and CountTeam,WorkforceManagement, Cashiering, Warehouse/Receiving/Inventory Control, Compliance, and InternalControls&FraudDetection

Responsibility forresearch, development, evaluation and implementation of new products,services,technology and processesto ensure MGM Resorts competitive position. Ability to anticipate market and customer changing needs within the dynamic hospitality/gaming environment.
