Job Profile Title: | Internal Sr Auditor | Job Code: | 19356-1 | Profile Title: | 19356-1 Sr Internal Auditor - Audit Analytics | Grade / Band: | IC3 | FLSA Status: | Exempt | The Senior Internal Auditor – Audit Analytics assists the Director, Audit Analytics in fulfilling data requests and performing advanced level of data analytics and data modeling for audit and project related needs, in support of the compliance, operational, financial, IT and SOX audit areas and management requests for the Internal Audit Department. This position is a subject matter expert for data analytics concepts and also provides training to internal audit staff on data analytics capabilities. The Senior Internal Auditor – Audit Analytics should maintain all organizational and professional ethical standards, in accordance with the IIA's International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. | | | | | |
Principal Duties & Responsibilities | Monitors and manages the data request workflow and fulfills data requests by providing standard and adhoc system reports and report conversions. | Collaborates with the audit teams on assigned projects and assists in the evaluation, design and implementation of advanced data analytics to increase audit efficiencies and expand internal audit coverage. Develops and maintains productive client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings. | Self‐educates, performs research on the areas aligned with projects and learns new systems independently. Pursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained. Stays current with emerging technology and issues related to data analytics. | Conducts data analytics projects, through the department project request workflow or as requested by management and builds data models, where applicable, in support of these projects. | Assists with training and mentoring internal audit staff on the use of data analytic tools and capabilities. | Collaborates with other departments and shares data analytics concepts and capabilities. |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | KSAs | Writes advanced data queries using SQL to query from relational databases such as SQL server, Oracle, Teradata, etc. | Author reports using business intelligence (BI) software and adhering to established report design and query standards. | Conducts data extractions/cleansing, validation, normalizing and analysis on complex data using various BI tools and programming software such as SQL Server Management Studio, Cognos, Power BI, Monarch, etc. | Creates, troubleshoots, validates and maintains data models and communicates results and any potential issues. | Exhibits exceptional verbal and written communication skills and active listening skills. | Identifies data needs and assists with building appropriate databases and data models to support projects. | Self‐motivated and accountable for completing assigned work in an accurate and timely manner. | Works independently under general direction with appropriate latitude for initiative and independent judgment. | Maintains confidentiality of all Company information obtained in the normal course of project assignments. |
