The Senior Photo Producer manages the day-to-day operations of the Company's internal and external photography initiatives. This position will participate in all facets of development, production and post-production of projects from concept thru delivery, acting as the initial point of contact, managing schedules, correspondence and maintaining proper departmental processes. Within this role the Senior Photo Producer is also responsible for partnering and collaboration with the agency Art Buyer in regard to digital asset management, research, negotiations, purchasing and tracking of images and contract/licensing compliance.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Manages and organizes multiple photoshoots simultaneously, ensuring all pre-production and on-set needs are anticipated and met

Oversees resource management. Evaluates production demands on weekly basis and schedules projects with staff and/or production vendors accordingly

Leads planning meetings with Art Buyer, clients, creative teams and marketing agencies to determine creative direction, production, timelines, budgets, and unique requirements for each project

Assesses unique requirements for each production and creates strategic recommendations for internal and external teams to meet marketing objectives, budget and operational parameters

Research, hires and schedules outside vendors such as equipment, photographers and freelance crews

Creates and manages budgets for productions ranging from small productions to large, complex productions

Manages a team of freelance crews on project-oriented tasks through various stages of projects from production development and post-production (includes reconciling invoices, vendor payments and budgets and management of assets, agreements and licenses)

Partners and collaborates with Legal, Risk Management, and other appropriate property partners to ensure the safety and legal compliance of each production

Partners and collaborates with senior executives, agency Art Buyer, marketing agencies and key creative team (i.e.  Directors, producers, talent agents, retouchers, etc.) to ensure projects remain on budget, executed based on the vision of creative and client expectations, and on-schedule

Researches and evaluates creative and technical trends

Develops and guides internal and external teams on best practices of photo production

Works with agency Art Buyer in review and tracking of copyright and vendor information and ensures compliance with licensing parameters for images (Digital Asset Management)

Develops, implements and tracks processes to enhance efficiencies and creative output in partnership with agency Art Buyer

Partners with agency Art Buyer to continually expand our talent roster (nationally and regionally), negotiating rates and usage

Partners with agency Art Buyer in the management of image library including assigning appropriate metadata for assets to ensure accurate usage rights as well as archiving assets

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

KSAs

Extensive understanding of photography, pre-production, production and post-production process, standards, and etiquette including experience scheduling, booking crews, equipment, talent, completing production paperwork and archiving digital files

Experience in Microsoft Office products (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)

Experience using Project Management, Digital Asset Management and Financial tools (i.e. Workamajig, Webdam, COUPA)

Experience in understanding of brand and advertising standards in digital media (photography, video, social)

Proven experience in building and sustaining strong relationships effectively with peer groups and industry associations

Ability for alternative work schedules when needed (i.e. late-night productions, weekends and urgent situations)

Process oriented and strong attention to detail

Flexible problem-solver

Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms

Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to MGM Resorts International standards

Ability to provide list of references, credits, and sample reel
